Welcome to my class ---
I would like to take a few moments and share a little about myself. I love teaching! I love third graders! They love to learn and have a desire to grow and achieve!
I love lighthouses too. The lighthouse was used to show the ships in the harbor where the shoreline was. They were a point of reference. I consider a teacher to be performing a similar task for students. The teacher provides a safe place to learn and grow away from the rocks or dangers that would harm them.
So, a little about me -- I have been married for 38 years to Kevin Crane (yes, I am quite old, over half a century). We have three children (all married), Joshua, Jessica, and Janeal (yes, we did get stuck on the "J" thing). I have five amazing grandchildren (practically perfect in every way like Mary Poppins), Lindsay (16), Bryton (14), Aidan (11), Regan (10), Arwen (3) and Olivia (4 months). I love my family!
I like to spend my time hiking, learning, riding my bicycle, traveling, riding my motorcycle or scooter, reading and going with my husband on ATV adventures. And, I love my cat, Kitty. She is an old Siamese and yes, I am quite original when it comes to finding a name. She likes it so it is okay.
I love a good book and my favorite genres are science fiction, mysteries, history, fantasy, picture, and poetry. On a cold evening, nothing is better than a cup of cocoa and a good book. I look forward to sharing some of my favorite books.
We are going to have a great time learning!
